carnival cruise news

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. announced that four new concept cruise ships will be added to the NCL fleet by 2025. Fincantieri will deliver the first of four ships in 2022. It can accommodate 3,300 passengers. Fincantieri designed the prototype that is used in this order. The four ships will have a capacity of 140,000 gross tons, and the designs will be based on Freestyle Cruising, a style of cruising that is being promoted by NCL.

Carnival Pinnacle

The Pinnacle Project, a concept ship for cruise ships, was designed by the Carnival Corporation in collaboration with Fincantieri (an Italian shipyard) and Fincantieri (an Italian shipyard). The Pinnacle Pro was originally intended to be the world's largest ship for cruises. But, many of the features and ideas that the Pinnacle Project had were unimaginable. The Pinnacle Project was the brainchild of Carnival Cruise Line's chief creative officer, Joe Farcus. It was incorporated into Carnival Vista's design, which was built many years later.

Pinnacle's cruise ship concept featured a split-superstructure that extended from the ship to its stern. MSC Seaside has a similar stern design, but Pinnacle was to have two slides. Two slides with lots of corkscrews would have been used instead of the wet varieties found on other ships.
